I hope someone has run into this also and found a solution!

We use machines with CentOS 6.9 32bit and View client 4.2.

These machines are installed via a custom made kickstart file that among other things installs the view client with the needed modules like usb redirection and others.

The machine boots to the graphical env and then opens the view client without the user needed to login, like a Kiosk mode.

Since the version 4.5 is out i tried to just replace the source installer and kept all the other things intact and all works as expected but the USB redirection.

The OS sees the USB devices plugged in and they are available but within View no USB is available, like nothing is connected. The usb arbitrator is up and running.

Anyone has had the same issue?

I have created an automated desktop pool in Horizon View and VM this pool is based on has Flash Read Cache activated for one VMDK because .

As soon as I start provisioning the pool, I get the error message that I have Insufficient resources concerning virtual vFlash ressource.

How can I configure my pool or vm that clones also have a Flash Read Cache?

I am looking at licensing 2 Hosts both with 2 Sockets fro Horizon View 7 Advanced. When I license these for Horizon Advanced do I have to also license the underlying ESXi hosts for 6.5 Ent. Plus or is that included in the Horizon bundle?

I just deployed five VDI using SLED 12. My issue here is that when i connect using the Horizon View Client the screen resolution is 800x600 yet the screen resolution of the Operating System is 1920x1200 and if i connect to the VM using VMRC from vSphere Client the display works okay.

I am using 128 MB vRAM on the Virtual Machine and the Desktop Pool resolution is set on 2560x1600 just for test.

Any idea if this is a known issue?

We upgraded to Horizon View 7.3.1 and we have a few instant clone pools that have the network port group not the same as the parent VM.  Previously in 7.2 and 7.1 this was fine, but since going to 7.3.1 the network card on the VMs would be blocked by the port group security unless we switch the security on the port groups to:
MAC address changes: accept

Forged Transmits: accept

Obviously this isn't ideal, so does anyone have any ideas why this would have happened or any suggestions on a workaround other than changing the security settings on the port groups?

I have Horizon 7.4, security and connection server.

When i connect from horizon client for windows from my pc everything work fine.

When i try to connect from my mobile phone with mobile client for android i have a problem

after password i push my pool icon, progress bar with % o to 60% + - and error Lost connection o the server

Since upgrading one of our users client version from v3.5 we have noticed an issue when having the Windows Display Scale set to 125% zoom the VM now has a reduced resolution indicative of the resolution of one with said zoom level, so a 1920x1080 host machine screen would provide a ~1600x750 resolution.

This particular user was using 2 screens, one was 1920x1200 the other was 1920x1080, display scaling from VMware was enabled and was proven so by changing the size of a "large window" and seeing the resolution change. the function of 2 screens is a requirement - I have seen the fix for the surface pro was to adjust the RTAV registry keys for srcWCamFrameWidth and height however I cant see a way to set 2 resolutions for 2 screens.

Client version: 4.7, tested with 4.4 also

Agent version 6.0.1

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have installed Windows Server 2012 on Vmware and And also have installed Windows 7  on VMware, after configuring DHCP service on server 2012 i keep my client Ethernet properties on DHCP but it's not getting IP from my DHCP server getting APIPA IP. please help me how can i configure my network connection on VMware so that i can get IP from DHCP  server.

the local pc drive are not mapping for both application and desktop pool. I enabled sharing check everything can anybody suggest how i could fix it

The view agent on virtual desktops can fail to communicate with the connection server over time, but the agent service does not actually fail and restart.  Is there a way to query the connection server database for agent communication failures and direct vcenter to restart the VM?  Directing the virtual desktop to automatically reboot after a period of time is not an option.

I am trying to set up WMI monitors for our VDI environment (Horizon 7.3.2) and the classes referenced in Examining PCoIP Session Statistics with WMI are all missing from my connection servers.  Are these WMI components only available on the VDI desktops themselves?

Dear, Currently I can not redirect USB ports to Windows 7 from my Client, Ubuntu detects them as a device when connecting but not redirect. That is, the mouse and the keyboard can use it without problems, but not other devices like: pendrives, cameras, scanners.

It is not a problem of the hardware, since it probe with different equipment in disposition and the fault appears in all equally. It is not a problem of Horizon configuration since we have Dell Wyse computers and in them the redirection works without problems. Only seucede with notebook and Ubuntu.

We have been looking at using the RDS farm and application delivery in Horizon view.

I have created a test manual farm and that has been successful I can launch applications.

I have created a new VM with server 2012 R@ and installed the view agent with the composer mode option set.

When I try and set up a Farm I can get all the way through the setup to the 'Guest Customization' screen where you select the OU and domain the linked clones will be placed, but from here I cannot continue as the next button is greyed out !!

I can not for the life of me think what might be causing me not to be able to continue, nothing is coming up with an error or in red to say i have missed anything.

We are running Horizon View 7.2.0

Trying to get my Windows 10 parent image prepared for a linked-clone composer pool and every time I disable the Windows Update service it eventually gets set back to Manual and it starts up.

I've tried setting a Group Policy to set it to disabled in the linked-clones but it still somehow changes.

I saw this entry in the System event viewer log

"The start type of the Windows Update service was changed from disabled to demand start"

Within about a minute of that I also see these entries about other services being changed

"The start type of the Connected User Experience and Telemetry service was changed from disabled to auto start"

"The start type of the Windows Modules Installer service was changed from demand start to auto start"

Anyone know what is changing these services? We do not have anti-virus installed and we are not using SCCM so I know it's not either of those.

I am looking for a script that will automatically add VM to pool when number of vms are less than the users entitled to pool.

Currently users are entitled thru a security group. Admins don't know if enough VMS are available in pool unless we manually go and check the pool size and free vms available.

We provision VM's in advance and not on demand as it usually takes 15 to 20 mins to provision a vm.

The connection to the same machine, instead, correctly works from another pc.

I try to unistall and reinstall VMWare but nothing change. I don't know how to do, it will be so urgent for me to connect to this machine from my pc, please can you help me ?
