Hello,
This my VMWare structure:
- vCenter ESXi 5.1
- VM: Windows XP / VMWare Tools updated / View Agent 5.2 (installed in this order)
- HOST Machine: XP or W7 / Resolution 1280x1024 / VMWare View Client 5.2
1º) I connect to my VM using the VMWare View Client and I open it full-screen:
2º) Once in, the VM always gets the HOST Machine resolution, in this case 1280x1024 as you can see (by the way is the maximum resolution the VM can get):
3º) But if I change that resolution to 800x600 (I imperatively need this resolution to open & use an old app), this happens:
Why? I mean, why the VM desktop does not stretch the 800x600 resolution to fit the HOST Machine screen? (stretch the low resolution up to HOST screen)
In my vCenter, f I open the console of this VM and try this change, same thing happens.
So I can't open my VM and change the resolution to a 800x600 full-screen one.
Is it possible? How could I get it?
[** the only way to get a VM 800x600 full-screen resolution is to configure 800x600 in the HOST Machine, but I don't want to do that].
Thank you very much in advance.
