RDS Hosted App & Folder Redirection

I ran into an interesting scenario yesterday, and am curious if anyone has a solution.

Users log into a Horizon 7 floating linked clone desktop pool.  The Horizon View client is installed on their virtual desktop, to facilitate access to RDS hosted apps.  MS Visio is presented as a Horizon RDS app.  Visio file types are associated with the RDS app automatically once the users launches it once.

Since the users have floating, refresh on logoff virtual desktops, we are using UEM to redirect their my documents, desktop, etc.

If you attempt to open a Visio file by double clicking on it from the redirected location (for example, redirected documents), it launches the RDS session but fails with the error "There was an unexpected problem opening the file.  The file may be missing or have misconfigured permissions."  I assume this is happening since the file is actually on a network path.

If you move the file to a non-redirected location in the user profile, for example C:\users\%username%\ the RDS app launches as expected.

I would assume this is a fairly popular use case for RDS hosted apps, and am curious if anyone has a solution?
